The shelter facility was established in accordance with Article 18 of the Legislative Decree 286/98 for the implementation of Social Protection programmes to support people who have been the victims of trafficking and/or exploitation. The activation of a social protection programme for a person means the formation of an educational project aimed at acquiring documents, professional training and starting the journey towards socio-occupational inclusion. All of this consists of a new “life project” that the person in question establishes together with the operators working in the facility, with whom he/she will create a deep rapport of trust.
